The goal of Taiwan Germination Program is to help scientific research entrepreneurship projects achieve commercialization milestones and increase their valuation, and to help research institutions identify significant research results with entrepreneurial potential, support their commercialization, and realize innovative products or services that are in demand in the marketplace.
The research team of Prof. Chai-Lin Kao has been awarded the 2024 Taiwan Germination Program grant for their research on “High-Efficiency Synthesis Technology of Special Peptides” with annual funding of NT$6.0 million.
This project is being carried out in collaboration with Associate Prof. Hui-Ting Chen from the Department of Pharmacy at NYCU. The results of this project will lead to the establishment of a startup company that will develop innovative and efficient peptide synthesis technology to address industrial needs and advance peptide drug development.
